Food product lighting
Table of contents
Lighting undeniably contributes to product sales, and food products are one of the categories that benefit most from this investment.
Good product lighting contributes not only to an excellent visual presentation, but also to a longer product shelf life.
Discover our recommendations for lighting food products.
Pastry and Bakery
Visual appeal is one of the greatest advantages of product display. The quality of the product, combined with the right lighting, contribute to an excellent presentation and display. The use of a warm colour temperature makes it possible to highlight colours with this tone - reds, browns, oranges and yellows - which are very common in bakery and pastry products. We suggest lighting with our WW273HEPro LED, with a Warm White 2700K colour temperature with and CRI >90.
Wine
LED lighting, due to its low heat emission and freedom from UV rays, is the best lighting solution for wine display spaces. Cold colours go against the desired perception of a wine display, which is why we recommend 3000K CRI >90 Warm White lighting, which you can achieve with our WW0303HEPro LED.
Fruits
In fruit displays it is undoubtedly a challenge to illuminate so many vibrant colours and distinct textures. The freshness and quality of the fruit is highlighted using the warm colour temperature and high CRI provided by our WW303HEPro LED - Warm White 3000K CRI >90.
Cheese
As diversas texturas e tonalidades do queijo devem ser evidenciadas através de uma temperatura de cor neutra e um elevado CRI. Tec IT recommends the NW353HEPro LED, with a 3500K Neutral White colour temperature and CRI >90, which will highlight the different characteristics of cheeses without compromising their quality.
Charcuterie
The enormous variety of colours, textures and shapes in a deli is enhanced with our NW353HEPro LED, with a Neutral White colour temperature of 3500K and CRI >90. Brown and reddish tones will benefit from the neutrality of the colour of the light, as well as the high CRI that allows for excellent colour visualisation.
Vegetables
The freshness of vegetables must be enhanced by faithfully reproducing their colours and textures, which can be achieved by lighting them with our NW403HETHR LED. Advances in LED technology have enabled us to develop this LED that highlights both greens and reds, without compromising the good display of the other colours. The neutral colour lighting, very close to daylight, also makes for a more attractive presentation and shows off the quality of the vegetables.
Butcher's shop
The lighting in a butcher's shop should enhance the colour of the meat without making it too red, altering its qualities or the tone of the environment. At Tec IT we have created a special lighting concept for butcher's shops by developing a specific colour for these places, without UV rays - which contribute to the fading and discolouration of the meat - thus allowing the product to be displayed for longer. We recommend lighting with Neutral White 4000K CRI >93 R9 >85
Dairy mural
The diverse presentation of products on a temperature-controlled wall requires neutral, balanced lighting that allows the colours to be seen properly. To this end, we recommend lighting with a colour temperature of Neutral White 4000K CRI >90.
Frozen food wall
The wide variety of packaging displayed on these murals must be highlighted with the right lighting, which emphasises the quality, freshness and brightness of the products. For this, we suggest lighting with a cool colour temperature and high CRI, such as that provided by our CW503HEPro LED.
Fishmonger
As fish is one of the food products in which the criterion of freshness plays the most decisive role, good lighting is essential. We recommend our CW573HEPro LED to emphasise the natural cool and bright tones of fish. Lighting with a cool colour temperature combined with a high CRI will simultaneously highlight the brightness of the eyes and the vivid red tone of the gills, as well as the warmer tones of the shellfish.
